Right when I saw Mabel she was so confused and angry.
She had an NG tube in her nose in order to help drain her tummy after surgery which makes her so, so mad.
Despite it all, though, she ended up with a perfect little 'button' in her tummy. You can also see where her biopsy was. Her arms are splinted in order to keep the IV in place and also so she won't flail and try to take any of her tubes out.
She got morphine for pain and then we were much happier people. Her color has looked great all day, even when she's been upset and crying.
It's not pretty; this journey. None of it is pretty.
We have rested good. Well, as good as you can when you share a room with a whole other family [who have sick twin girls who love Dora and cat and the hat].
As I type, I can see Mabel being fed through her g-tube and she already got her medicine as well. It was so amazing I could have cried. It's guaranteed that she is getting it (quickly) and what a relief that is for her daddy & I!
Hoping to go home tomorrow...
