It's hard to believe that 12 weeks ago (exactly) we took this picture of my expanded body weighing in at 164 pounds.
It's even harder to believe that 12 weeks later, after alot of hard work my body looks like this, weighing in today at 120 pounds.
My perfect weight has always been right around 120 pounds. Meaning? Without trying very hard, I could maintain this weight for life. Ideally I want to lose that last 5 or 6 pounds but I kinda like my body at the moment too. Alot of toning is still in order. My hips are still much wider than before I got pregnant and my butt and thighs are still not strong and muscular like before. All of that toning will happen with Pilates, which I love & taught for a year at the Y. Due to my tailbone pain, I can't do alot of the moves that are helpful and that I enjoy--but I can do enough to tone the areas that need to be tightened up. That is my goal for winter (after I meet my weight loss goal completely).
This week was a rough one as far as exercise goes. In fact, I dont think I walked or biked at all since last Wednesday. I did alot of other things that helped burn calories. For instance, I helped Daniel move the huge wood pile. That took a whole evening and was alot of heavy lifting and moving. Then we moved our entire bedroom downstairs and the classroom/playroom upstairs. That took another whole evening (7 hours to be exact) and again, was alot of heavy lifting and moving. Other than that life just got in the way. Dinner, kids, husband, picture sessions. Sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day. I'm big on making time for yourself, though, remember? So I snuck in a bath on some nights and a sweet mocha on others. Indulge a little for that moment that makes you happy. It's important. And you're worth it.
Did you try any of the recipes from last week? I made the cheesy chili soup one night and loved it as always. On the menu tonight is parmesan chicken fingers. We are supposed to have a few warm days again so I'm going to make sure to get out as often as possible this week and try to knock out these next couple of pounds.
